Troop 78 is a 2012 Gold Award Unit! The highest unit award for excellence.

Troop 78 is active year-round, and there is at least one major event for our scouts in every month. Our troop meetings are normally on Tuesdays at the Scout huts on the Air Force Academy at 7pm.

Anyone can join Troop 78, no military affiliation is needed.  If you wish to visit the troop, just contact the Scoutmaster or Committee Chair for instructions.  We meet in the "family" part of base where a military ID or a visitor pass is needed.

In addition to the Troop events, Scout Patrols scouts participate in other trips within their Patrols.  Each Patrol consists of 6-8 scouts at about the same age. Troop 78 is lucky to have great scouts and great leaders, which results in a lot of fun at every event!
